The Hard Rock Cafe did not take long to become a hot spot in Tampa, but this is one restaurant where waiting for your table is not such a bad thing, in fact you might just prefer a little wait.

Food aside, and we will get to the menu later, a visit to The Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa is a must visit just to take in the distinguishing Rock Star atmosphere and unique design. Whether you are cool, trendy or hip or if you aren’t any of above, when you leave The Hard Rock Cafe you will feel as if you are all of those, the exceptional setting has that type of dominance on a person.

Where to start when it comes to the menu? Instead of actually starting off with food, the focus has to be on the flavor and personality that makes up this menu. The chefs focus on finding fresh and local ingredients, which really makes a difference that you can taste in all of their dishes. Beyond the fresh ingredients, it is how they incorporate them into the dishes that will leave you asking yourself, “What was that extra little flavor sprinkled in that?” As the taste really took your dish to that next level.

The starters are plentiful and flavorful as you will be able to tell by the creativity in the ingredients that are so good they should come with a name other than starters to give them their just due. We highly recommend the Jumbo Combo which consists of a delectable array of the menus most popular starters. It includes the Santa Fe Spring Rolls, Hickory-Smoked Chicken Wings, Onion Rings, Potato Skins and Tupelo Chicken Tenders. Served with four different sauces for mixing and matching. The starters were cooked to perfection and the sweetness of the mixing sauces really brought them to life.

Now let’s get to the main courses, which with this restaurant being located in the Gulf Coast of Florida would leave you longing for some amazing fish, which The Hard Rock Cafe delivers. As the Salmon filet is delivered from the pristine fjords of Norway. The Grilled Wild Salmon is an 8 oz. filet grilled and topped with a Merlot-garlic butter and served with confetti rice and fresh vegetables. But don’t limit yourself to fish as there are plenty of other great options and the one I would start with is the New York Strip Steak.

Since I am a meat lover, my preferential bias was definitely considered, as the 12 oz USD Choice was grilled to perfection. This steak was full of flavor, while topped with Merlot-garlic butter and served with fresh vegetables and garlic herb smashed potatoes with gravy. To pair with all of this incredible food, The Hard Rock Cafe has put together a great assortment of wine, that for the value will be hard to match anywhere. The wine list is impeccable, but don’t be afraid to grab yourself a cocktail as they are as tasty and creative as anything on the menu.

From the moment you enter The Hard Rock Cafe you will find the service to be flawless, even with a packed restaurant. You never will find yourself looking for your server and the knowledge of the menu that the staff has will put you at ease if you have any questions. It is hard to hit the trifecta, but The Hard Rock Cafe managed to reach the highest levels with their ambiance, food and service. Tampa definitely has a new local getaway!
